Choosing a place to live in can be very difficult, according to your priorities. ¿Do you have children? ¿Do you want to live near your work? ¿Is travel time important in your daily life? Pets are usually a constant factor in the life of  a lot of people, these animals are recognized and acquired for a lot of reasons, such as company, security or even disabilities. Moreover, they can be from different species, like dogs, cats, fishes, birds or even other exotic animals. It is true that not every person has a pet, therefore, many people around the world tend to like them for various reasons. These creatures seem to love us and we usually attach ourselves to them emotionally. Nevertheless, why do we love pets? What do they change in us? People with pets are better human beings, in other words, they make us better people. Pets affect positively to the social capacity of a person, specially during the childhood. The contact with pets as living beings teach us to develop sympathy and respect other living beings more deeply than people with no pet. Pets help us to have a healthier life.

Large cars create a lot of difficulty in our streets. These type of cars are meant to be usually used in unfavorable spaces. Likewise, they are ususally claimed to be safer because of their size, nevertheless drivers have more trouble controling vehicles like this exactly because of their size, especially when turning the car into another direction. Due to this, large cars use more space than other cars and create traffic jams and accidents that are already frequent in big cities because of the amount of vehicles that circulate in their streets . A jeep, for example, is designed as an all-terrain vehicle and uses more space than the most common cars, so it blocks the streets for other cars and they are harder to manipulate.

Pink or Blue? How much do we know about gender?  Over the years an impressive amount of investigation and research has been tearing down all that was known about gender identity and its social implications. The difference between gender as social and sex as biological was just the initial point to abandon the binary idea of gender and promote diversity, based in gender as a social construction, a dynamic part of the culture. Nevertheless, these ideas have spread in different ways in current society, a lot of them remain as stereotypes that flourish hate, especially in a country like Chile. The main purpose of this investigation is to discover how chilean population perceive gender stereotypes in present chilean society. I'm an anthropology student in Universidad de Chile, before I entered this university I studied Literature for a couple years, I was interested in the language, the intrincate parts of its construction and how it was expressed in its history, particularly in literature books. Nevertheless, Anthropology let me investigate and get a lot of knowledge about different new topics I never thought about, like gender, philosophy, history or migration to mention a few of them, and question myself about how much help is needed to make this world a better place.
